Creamy swiss chicken bake9/13/2023 Joe throws it together when he gets home from work, lets it bake while he plays with the girls or waters the garden, and then we eat. There's not much to the preparation, and that makes this a great weeknight recipe. This is one of those recipes that is even better the second day, so you will be glad that it makes a lot. If you leave the chicken in the oven until it is 165º, it will be overcooked because it always continues cooking for a few minutes after it is removed from the oven. When the temperature in the thickest part of the meat reaches 165º, it is ready to eat. Remove the chicken from the oven when the temperature is about 160º and then let it sit on the counter for 5-10 minutes. I highly recommend using a meat thermometer. That's also why it gets dry when you reheat it, even if it was perfectly cooked the first time. You don't overcook it! The most common culprit of dry chicken is overcooking. Either would be delicious, and you won't miss the starch. If, like me, you eat a low carb diet, you could easily serve this over cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles. Part of the allure of this dish is that it makes a decadent cream sauce that is loaded with mushrooms, so if you want to maximize the sauce value, you will probably want to serve it over rice, pasta, or even a baked potato. The Swiss cheese makes the finished chicken a tiny bit tangy and that, combined with the sweet richness of the sauce, makes a winning combination. You might find that you love it just like I did. I love this Swiss cheese chicken, so even if you think you don't like Swiss, give it a try. I have thought for my entire life that I didn't like Swiss cheese, but it turns out that I didn't like it plain. I updated it a wee bit in 2021, although why mess with perfection? I didn't change the recipe at all, just updated some of the instructions to make them more clear. A friend gave me the recipe, and Joe made it regularly as it quickly became a favorite. I first shared this recipe back in 2013, when I had a first grader and a 3-year-old. This gluten-free meal is the ultimate comfort food with juicy oven baked chicken. Healthy baked casserole makes a creamy sauce with mushrooms. This simple and easy dinner recipe is rich and decadent.
Artemis nasa launch9/13/2023 "The crew will start training, the flight control team will start our mission simulations, the engineers and the test team in Florida will continue to test and assemble Artemis 2, the actual flight vehicle and get it ready," McClung said. NASA is expected to announce the four-person crew for Artemis 2 early this year. NASA hopes to carry that success into 2023, a year that will include integrated testing of the new Artemis 2 Orion crew module and the service module, which propels the spacecraft in space and helps it get back through Earth's atmosphere at the end of the mission. We didn't have any massive gotchas, which was fantastic." "We test the vehicle thoroughly on the ground. "We really didn't have any big technical challenges where we got a huge surprise, which was great," McClung said. The empty Orion crew module splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Baja on December 11 after a 25-day mission that covered 1.3 million miles, including a loop around the Moon. Judging from the early returns of the Artemis 1 mission, NASA is off to a good start. "It gets a little more difficult in the sense that now you have astronauts to bring home safely and so some of the discussions you'll have and what your risk trades that you'll do along the way are different because I clearly don't want to ever lose a vehicle, but I definitely don't want to lose the crew, so that modifies the decision-making process to some extent." "It's easier in a sense that you have the astronauts to feed back," Orion Program Planning and Control Office Chief of Staff Stu McClung said. For NASA, the challenge ahead is obvious Artemis 1 didn't have a crew on board. Fresh off the success of the Artemis 1 mission that concluded last month, NASA says it has a busy year ahead getting ready for the next Artemis launch planned for late 2024.Īrtemis 2 will fly past the Moon deeper into space and will use a different, updated Orion crew module, one of four that will be built for the program over the next few years. Ace attorney ema skye hydr9/13/2023 This is probably why I can say that I tolerate Ema in rtfa. This is something I wish AA did more because even though it's been a while since I've played the first trilogy, Maya does not hold up this much to important character dialogue. Something that I actually really like about Ema in rfta is that she does have some meaningful conversations with pretty much all NPCs. I could talk about what happened but that would mean to talk about a lot of things Ema didn't actually do. She introduces the player with a new mechanic that I will talk about later.Įma was involved in some older incident but what happened there does not contribute to her development and is mostly using her as a plot device to get the case to progress and tie some events together. I'm not very keen on the concept of having faces that look the same either, but whatever.Įma acts as the case giver and then hangs out with Phoenix until the end of the case, making cheesy commentaries in the same fashion Maya does as you interact with and inspect world objects. Not only that, but it's also harmful for the character the traits have been stripped from as they slowly lose unicity. Sound familiar? But wait she's not the victim of the case, but the defendant! Not the same!!!Įven though I can understand why they did this (which makes me think they never intended to bring Ema back), I see it kind of harmful for a character to inherit this many traits from another, even if intentional. Personality wise, she's not too different from Maya, except she's less aggressive and more willing to help during investigations. Even the outfits, which have swapped colors. If you'll check the image I hyperlinked to above, you'll notice that both Maya and Ema have many common visual traits, to the point where it's obvious it's intentional. Ema in the first trilogy - RTFAįor the most part, Ema is a carbon copy of Maya, but altered sightly to appear and act as her own character. I will also take into consideration her Investigation appearances though I don't think there's much to talk about those. More specifically, after the trilogy has ended.įor that reason, Ema only appears in rfta and is never mentioned or hinted at again until the second trilogy, where she has a wider appearance and more relevance while also being officially integrated into the main cast.įor this cut, I will review both trilogy appearances and I will try my best to write as much about each of them. As many know (and probably some even noticed by the change in graphical quality if playing the ds version), rfta was added at a later date. Ema in Ace Attorney as a seriesĮma was introduced in Ace Attorney in Rise From the Ashes which I'll refer to as rfta from now on for my sake. I'm expecting a revive so not sure how much effort I should pour into this. Spires of ascension location9/13/2023 This week's affixes are Tyrannical, Afflicted, Bolstering. Seashore movie inw hat langage9/13/2023 This war film was released in the US in 1966 under the title Marine Battleground but it got director Lee a best director award at the Grand Bell awards in 1964. Everything he did (depressingly not much) was perfection. LEE MAN-HEE IS ONE OF THE BEST FILMMAKERS EVER TO HAVE LIVED AND HE DIED TOO EARLY. The Marines Who Never Returned 돌아오지 않는 해병 (Lee Man-hee, 1963) – So I’m going to give you a few last ones and then feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you liked, hated, etc and I can maybe make another post if I’ve got time. But my food delivery just arrived and I actually want to watch a movie. I could keep talking about these films, performers, themes and historical points for ages. And if you like it, look up the director. It’s not like any road movie or feel-good youth crap you’re used to. It stars one of my very favorite Korean actors 안성기 Ahn Sung-ki and if you watch a lot of Korean films, you’ll know him cuz he’s been in almost 200 films and started acting when he was a kid. Whale Watching 고래사냥 (Bae Chang-ho, 1984)- This is an anti-road road movie loosely about shitty crushes and how it is hard to be young. Or maybe those films got lost? Who the hell knows. It’s almost as if the word “flop” didn’t exist in their vocabulary. MANY of the filmmakers who had been working in the 60s and 70s were still making movies in this period and made stunning work during this period. Korean cinema in the 80s was a different monster than the 60s or the 70s and definitely different than the late 90s. I’m going to recommend a few different films from the 80s that I think are dynamite and should be seen at all costs. His shit is off the hook & not simple “cult” or “horror” cinema. He was an independent genre filmmaker during a time when that just didn’t happen & was deeply influenced by playwrights like Ibsen & O’Neill. As you can tell, he is very difficult to classify which is why he is amazing. His most famous film is The Housemaid/하녀 (1960) which has been classified as a noir also but I strongly disagree with that classification as well. Most people call him a cult director or a horror film guy. Let me know/leave me a message if you have ANY problems…. So the links I have here go straight to the YouTube channel where they should play fine. They’re just omfgsogreat!Īlso? In Korea, many of these are age-restricted because they are, uh, well…you’ll see. Obvs, you will be able to tell my successes & failures.īe kind. Some I have done a LOT of research into and some I have not. I will be listing some films under directors w/bio info & some just as films. They are like NOTHING you have ever seen or ever will see again.Īnd now, without, further ado, my holiday gift to you…. Know that classic Korean films are long but they are WORTH IT.ĭo not let their running time deter you from watching them. I will tell you, flat out, every movie here is one I will BACK 100%. I’ve had a lot of people asking me for my selections. Some bits of it are clipped from personal emails I have sent to people but the rest…is totally new. I have been thinking & planning this list for a while. If something I recommend is no longer on there, it was likely taken down due to a Blu-ray release or something of that sort. They have been putting films up there for almost 10 years, I think, and they constantly add new things. I recommend to you here I watched on that channel. While I will pursue a more archives-and access-centered piece on the specific topic of the YouTube Channel itself at a later date, I want y’all to know that EVERY. There was a link that people were passing around like popcorn before I left for Korea about the Korean Film Archive and their YouTube channel. I am ridiculously addicted to it and my career/training as an archivist only makes this situation more painful: much of it is no longer available, has deteriorated, or is, in some fashion, lost or unaccessible. It’s devilishly specific and I cannot get enough of it. This is beyond all other kinds of cinemas I’ve ever studied, watched, consumed. What shook me was how deeply and completely I fell in love with…Classic Korean cinema. That was sorta to be expected, right? I live here and all. In this last year, my interest in Korean cinema intensified into something more than what it had been. Once, I even participated in a Korean Blogathon to get over an intensely bad break-up. All over the US.įor those of you who know me, you know I’ve loved Korean cinema for well over a decade. I don’t want to dwell on the pandemic too much- after all, this is supposed to be movie talk- but here I am sitting in my apartment, the yacht rock station playing (shuddup, it’s better for writing background music), thinking about friends all over the world.
